QSA launches Encruzado Grand Reserve

We’re pleased to announce our latest wine: Terras de Stº António Encruzado Grand Reserve 2020. This monovarietal from one of the most emblematic varieties of Dão, is our first wine to obtain the classification of “Grand Reserve”.

Produced from selected grapes of Encruzado variety, it’s a wine that revals citrine color and exuberant aroma with tropical and mineral notes. In the mouth, its intense and fruity taste stands out.

Terras de Stº António Encruzado Grand Reserve 2020 also shows potential to evolve in the bottle.

We’ve reached the veraison stage

The veraison has already reached the vineyards of Quinta de Santo António brushing the grapes. The veraison stage represents the beginning of maturation characterized by the change in the color of the grape berries as the vines begin to reveal the color of the fruits.

In the veraison stage, the color of white grapes becomes yellowish and translucent, while red grapes change from green to red and purple.

The 2021 harvest has begun

After a whole year of work, the days of reaping the rewards finally arrived. The harvest started at Quinta de Santo António and over the next weeks there will be days of great hustle, cutting bunches of varieties like Encruzado, Touriga Nacional, Jaen, Tinta Roriz or Alfrocheiro.
